Cartoons are special, they are entertaining, informative, and while some of them appear relatable, there are others which resemble our dreams and become close to our heart. The cartoons have been around for quite a long time and right from the early days of motion pictures, there have been various cartoon series which went on to become a part of the pop-culture. The decade of the 1980s was not limited to the glamorous rock bands, weird hairdos, and action films. No, not at all! There was a lot more of substance to that era. As far as the animation is concerned, it is among the most vividly remembered and cherished eras. There was an abundance of cartoon shows produced during that era, and most of them were quite entertaining as well. We agree that some of them might have been essentially expensive promotions aimed at selling toy lines to kids, but, they were always cherished by the audiences. Whether it be He-Man and the Masters of the Universe or G.I. Joe, these shows always offered something interesting to the viewers and entertained them. If you who were fortunate enough to have parents who let you do what you wanted, you would have allowed visited the local video store and rented the cartoons for binge-watching in the 80s style.
Things have changed tremendously since then, but, the powerful nostalgia and great memories are forever. Consequently, several of the 80’s series have been rebooted in the years that followed. However, in case of many shows, they have been constantly revamped every few years to suit the tastes of the newer generations. Unlike the irritable and crazy neighbor who appreciates ‘the good old days when life was better,” we won’t be criticizing and claiming that the remakes stink and it was only the original series that used to be awesome because that is not true. In fact, we would say that there are various series which should be rebooted. Let’s go ahead and revisit some of the most popular 80s cartoons which have been rebooted and those which we wish get remade.
