Get Ready For Beverly Hills 90210 Revival Featuring The Original Cast

The famous Beverly Hills 90210 series is getting a revival, and it will feature the members of the original cast. The idea was first mooted by Tori Spelling at the start of 2018, but, back then, it was assumed that Spelling and former co-star Jennie Garth were coming together for a series where they would portray “exaggerated versions of themselves.” However, it seems like things have changed greatly during the course of the year, and the cast was recently seen leaving a writing meeting, and the revival series is no longer a secret.

The revival series will feature most of the original cast members of Beverly Hills 90210. Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, and Gabrielle Carteris will reprise the roles they played in the iconic series, but, Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty will not be onboard for this one. Doherty had exited the successful show in 1994 during its Season Four after several reports of misbehaviour and fights with her co-stars. Doherty and Garth also had a massive clash during the period.

The 90210 revival series is at present being pitched to various streaming networks, and undoubtedly there are some that have shown interest in buying the new series featuring most of the original cast, as per sources. It is not yet known what the revival will be focusing on, but, it has been stated that it won’t be a typical reboot. The show is expected to depict the characters at their current age which is almost 30 years after the show had premiered. Fans are going to be excited to find out what Brandon Walsh has been up to after all these years.

Beverly Hills 90210 aired from 1990 to 2000 and let to the successful spinoff Melrose Place. The show was incredibly popular during its first two seasons and happens to be the longest-running Aaron Spelling project. The show was based on high school aged characters who were making the transition to college and getting ready for adulthood. During the series’ run, it touched various topics like sex, date rape, homophobia, animal rights, alcoholism, drug abuse, domestic violence, eating disorders, anti-Semitism, racism, teenage suicide, teenage pregnancy and AIDS which made it a highly controversial series back then.

As of now, it is not known when will the 90210 revival series release or on which streaming service. However, things are expected to change soon because the cast has already started meeting the writers. Fans are going to see how Steve Sanders ended up and also his good friend David Silver, who used to always try and enter the hip-hop world back then. We might see him became a successful white rapper. Similarly, we will be seeing Brandon Walsh, Kelly Taylor, Andrea Zuckerman, and Donna Martin.
