Kevin Feige Confirms That Captain Marvel Will Take Up The Lead Role Of The MCU By Phase 4

According to the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, the Captain Marvel film will set up Brie Larson’s all-new character as the main focus of the MCU from Phase 4. Set in the year, 1995, Marvel’s 21st silver-screen movie will explore the origins of the character, Carol Danvers, who is an American Air Force pilot and she becomes part of the Kree military team called, Starforce.

Captain Marvel will precede the Guardians of the Galaxy storyline but does not set up this plot. Brie Larson’s story arc will represent a non-chronological story. Marvel has as of now released three trailers for this movie, and all of them emphasise on the protagonist’s return to earth, and also her relationships with Jude Law’s Starforce commander, and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury.

Last year, Kevin Feige had suggested that Captain Marvel would become the main figure of the MCU and while the release of the movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp had made a huge splash at the box office, the MCU’s 19th movie, Avengers: Infinity War had shaken up the fans, as Thanos had gotten his hands on all the six Infinity Stones and also took down many of MCU’s beloved characters. By topping the $2 billion at the box office, Infinity War had become the top-grossing movie of the year, 2018, and also the 4th highest-grossing movie ever.

 Brie Larson, who had earned the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in the movie, Room, will reprise her Captain Marvel role in the movie, Avengers: Endgame. Before this, the MCU will introduce Carol Danvers, who is a woman with energy projection, flight, and superhuman strength, due to a DNA accident that had made her part-human, and also part-Kree.

Brie Larson had also made her feature debut in the romantic comedy 13 Going on 30. From the year, 2009 till the year, 2011, Brie Larson had a major role in the Showtime show called, United States of Tara and this had starred Toni Collette.
