Renowned artist, BossLogic is back again with yet another work of exquisite excellence, and this time, it’s from the DragonBallZ Anime Universe! DragonBallZ, had its live-action movie, DragonBall – Evolution, released a few years ago. So what if the movie, went into a franchise sequel, adding new characters from the series itself?
Here we take a look at what if one of the antagonists of DragonBallZ, ever had their own movie, through this portrait drawn by BossLogic. The picture is a representation of how the infamous villain, Cell – a bionic android, created by Dr.Gero, from the Red Ribbon Army, would look like if he were for real. Based on the character sketch and design, it would seem that the artist had the actor, Tom Hiddleston in mind, for the Perfect Cell.
BossLogic has been on a roll with his fantasy drawings of character-based artists and has been drafting several well-known characters from the DragonBallZ Universe, for this, including – Future Trunks, Master Roshi, Hercule Satan, and Android 17, 18, 19 and 20.
Here we can see the design is quite flawless, yet makes it hard to visualize the actor Tom Hiddleston, if he were ever to wear all that makeup and prosthetics to look the part as the villainous Cell. His characterization as Loki, however, may prove to be convincing enough for him to play the part, through his menacingly intense personality, which would fit the bill for the character, Cell.
Cell Saga, is one of the most popular arcs in the DragonBallZ series, with Perfect Cell as the final antagonist of the arc. This is the first ever arc, which showcases someone other than the usual antagonist, Son Goku, to emerge as the victor, by defeating evil. Son Gohan is the one to strike down the cell, at the cell games, as far as the story goes. The concept of this saga is based on a back-to-the-future style, where, Trunks, son of Saiyan Prince, Vegeta, is seen to be in the distant future, battling the androids, with a little help from future Gohan, who is all grown up, and later, battles them and loses all by himself.
It is a grim future, where all the Z warriors, including, Vegeta, Picollo, and Gohan was annihilated by the androids. As a last-ditch effort, Trunks with the help of his mother Bulma, who is a scientist, and has invented a time travel capsule, allows for Trunks to go back into the past and inform the Z warriors about the arrival of the androids, so as to be well-prepared in advance by training and becoming stronger than their present state, in order to battle the androids. In a twisted turn of events, it is seen that android, 16,17,18,19 and 20 are not the only androids, but from out of the shadows, emerges yet another warrior, called Cell, who is also an android from Trunk’s timeline and requires android 17 and 18, in order to absorb them and achieve his perfect form.
