The debut trailer for Avengers: Endgame had revealed that RDJ’s character, Tony Stark will start the movie being adrift in space after his efforts to bring down Thanos. He is low on water, food, and also, oxygen, and Tony Stark records a farewell message to Pepper Pots by using his Iron Man helmet. One of the fans had noted that Tony Stark had built a filtration system in his armour in the movie, Iron Man 2 and that this is a detail of Iron Man 2 that might be a plot hole for the movie, Avengers: Endgame.
Tony Stark’s armour had a filtration system which could convert his urine into water that drinkable water. It seems like a pretty funny yet logical concept. But in Endgame, Tony’s suit had been damaged in his fight against the Mad Titan, so maybe his filtration system had got damaged.
Even if Tony Stark could have his fluids recycle water using the efficient filtration system, we could assume that Tony Stark’s body would lose a little liquid with every cycle and run out of water eventually.
But whether he can drink water or not, Tony is running out of oxygen in one day’s time, so the filtration system will not matter unless he can breathe.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Endgame is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt.
Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to be released in theatres on April 26, 2019.
