Andy Muschietti’s movie IT which is the cinematic adaptation of Stephen King’s horror novel had its first part released last year, and it went on to become one of the most successful horror films ever. It was obvious that the IT: Chapter 2 would be made. However, the second part has a tricky story because it doesn’t feature the children, but, their adult versions. This compelled the makers to recast the first film in its entirety. Fans accepted the fact that the child actors from 2017’s IT had to evolve as their characters.
Sadly, just like the second half of the original adaptation of the miniseries, people are speculating that introducing the grown-ups might make the film lose its originality.
Fortunately, the actors cast until now look identical to the kids from the original film. Although, we haven’t yet seen them act, but, they score well on the looks part.
A fan called Shaun Watson went ahead and created mashups of the original and the new actors who are members of the Losers’ Club, and you will be surprised to see how similar they look.
Bill Skarsgard is back as Pennywise in the sequel as well. The other members of the cast include James McAvoy as Bill, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, Bill Hader as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, Jay Ryan as Ben, James Ransone as Eddie, and Andy Bean as Stanley.
The film will also see comebacks from the original cast members Jaeden Lieberher as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie.
IT: Chapter 2 is scheduled to hit the big screen on September 6, 2019.
