After the Marvel Cinematic Universe burst on the big screen ten years ago with Iron-Man, the whole superhero movie genre underwent a transformation. The pioneering concept of a shared superhero universe got going, and it was so successful that all the other studios had to take note and follow the lead, especially DC.
The Justice League, or shall we say the Justice League of America, as it was originally called, has always been a crucial element of DC’s fantastic and expansive universe since 1960. Over the years, the League has expanded, been disbanded and has seen several core members come and go in numerous missions in the comic books and animation. Due to this long-term and vast history, the Justice League and its numerous heroes have been repeatedly revamped. Some of the more creative revisions have been those that give a new and unimaginable touch to the Superhero team, such as Kingdom Come and Justice League 3000, which had art by Alex Ross and Howard Porter respectively.
Fans of DCEU, have also delved into creating alternate versions of the Justice League by creating their own art. Some of the fan art pieces further establish the Justice League in the contemporary world, featuring them in a range of situations. At the same time, there are other recreations that give a different touch to the origin stories of these characters, leading to some impossible alternatives. Now that the Justice League has made its first appearance on the big screen, we decided to create a list of 15 of the most mind-blowing fan art pieces depicting the Justice League.
