Marvel has now wrapped up the illustrious run on the issue, Old Man Logan and with Old Man Hawkeye ending by the 12-issue order, the House of Ideas almost did not have its “Old Man” title.
Earlier today, Ethan Sacks had announced that he would be writing an all-new “Old Man” title and this will feature Peter Quill from Guardians of the Galaxy.
“Oddly, the first person to know about it was @prattprattpratt [Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt] by accident,” Sacks had tweeted. “
Seriously. I told him he’d need a couple of decades of hard Hollywood living if he wanted to play this role.”
Sacks had confirmed a few reports of Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski announcing this series at Lucca Comics, 2018.
Panini Comics Italia which is an overseas distributor of comic books had also shared images of Cebulski’s announcement on Facebook. In these photos, we can see an old Peter Quill drawn by Rod Reis.
One of the images included the logo this series and also confirmed that the creative team would include Sacks and Robert Gill as well. This logo is reminiscent of the logo that brands Marvel Studios and The Ravagers logo has also been displayed.
The plot revealed that it would take place in the futuristic continuity as both the other “Old Man” titles.
Old Man Quill will hit the shelves by February 2019.
