The term ‘Superhero’ is in itself a massive creative genre that has entertained millions of fans throughout the years across various mediums. Most if not all the popular superheroes of our times have originated from the printed panels of comic books and there are a lot of them that still remain exclusive to the medium. However, with the passage of time, the superhero genre has not only continued but, thrived and expanded tremendously. Ten years ago Marvel Studios unleashed the Marvel Cinematic Universe based on the Marvel Comics and DC soon followed with DC Extended Universe based on the DC Comics.

There are superhero films made by other studios like 20th Century Fox and Sony Pictures too. These superhero movies regularly feature some of the most good looking and well-toned actors alive. Superhero comics are not only getting some of the best attention and talent on the big screen but, the logic behind them seems to be uniform among the studio executives. Even though the comic books on which they are based, don’t necessarily feature characters that look great (and there is a reason for that), they are transformed for the movies. Terribly disfigured and scarred anti-heroes become partly deformed thugs. The genius and nerdy supporting characters become well-toned and stylish superhero buddies with a great deal of confidence. Shy, and unappealing ducklings turn into drop-dead gorgeous hotties who vie for the hero’s attention.

So is it good that these characters have been given the superhero touch? Does it mean that there is no scope for ordinary people in the fantastical worlds of comic book based films so that they can tempt more people to theatres? At times, it provides the character a fan following which they didn’t have earlier or extends the current fan base. There are also times when it makes a special character appear normal. Go ahead and treat yourself to the visuals of these fantastic 15 characters who look way hotter on the big screen compared to their comic book versions!
