Actor, Tom Hanks Throws His Hat In The Ring For The Role Of Geppetto


Toy Story and Forrest Gump actor, Tom Hanks is now in talks to play the role of Geppetto in Disney’s live-action, Pinocchio.

The toymaker, who longs for a son, had wished for one of his puppets to come to life. When the Blue Fairy had granted his request, Geppetto’s puppet had embarked on a journey with Jiminy Cricket to become a real boy.


The Pinocchio movie will be the very first live-action movie of this 1940 movie that had been produced by Walt Disney.

Paul King will be ready to set to direct after the departure of Sam Mendes. King will be directing with a script that he has penned with Chris Weitz and Simon Farnaby.
