Tom Hiddleston Speaks About The Truth Behind Loki’s Death

The MCU actor, Tom Hiddleston had played it very safe when he had been asked if his character, Loki was really dead in the movie, Avengers: Infinity War.

“Listen… I’ve heard some amazing theories about this. I was in a park in London a couple of weeks ago, and some guys came and said hi, and they asked me the same question,” Hiddleston had said.

“They said, ‘Hey, listen, we need an answer to this question. All the other times Loki’s died’ — there’s been a few — ‘he stabs with his right hand. And now he’s stabbing with his left hand.’ I was like, ‘That’s incredible attention to detail.’”

When he had been asked by Elizabeth Olsen if the actor knew about this detail, he had admitted that he was not and he said,

“Your guess is as good as mine.”

Loki had struck with his left hand for concealing his blade from the Black Order who were on his right side. This attempt to kill Thanos had failed, and the Mad Titan killed The God of mischief.

A lot of suspicions have persisted that the character, Loki who had died might have actually been a duplicate, with a lot of fan theories now pointing out that Loki entering this scene from off-screen may be a sign that Loki, used magic to make a decoy and then escape.

“When I came to shoot the scene in Infinity War, I think it’s very powerful he calls himself an Odinson, and that closes the whole journey of Loki and what he can do,” Hiddleston had said.

“[Loki’s death] set the stakes up emotionally. It takes the stakes up dramatically. You know that Thanos is someone who’s more dangerous than anyone we’ve seen before.”

A few spoiler set images that had been captured during the filming of Avengers 4 had revealed that Hiddleston would reprise his role of Loki.

Tom Hiddleston may also play Loki in a TV show that is being developed by Disney for its own streaming service.

Avengers 4 will release on May 3.
