Wizard of Oz Is Make A Big Return To Theaters For Three Nights. Here’s What’s Happening

A yearlong journey into film history will start this January when Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and Fathom Events present The Wizard of Oz in over 500 movie theatres nationwide on January 27, 29 and also on 30. This will be a three-day cinematic celebration of the movie’s 80th anniversary.

One of the well-known movies in Hollywood, The Wizard of Oz will be accompanied by many insights from the host, Ben Mankiewicz, before and after this movie and will offer a very memorable time for the moviegoers. Frank Morgan, Judy Garland, Jack Haley, Ray Bolger, Billie Burke, Bert Lahr, Charlie Grapewin, Clara Bandick and Clara Bandick star in called “the most influential film of all time.”

All throughout 2019, the TCM Big Screen Classics series will see 14 movie returns film theatres, including The Godfather Part II, My Fair Lady, Steel Magnolias, Alien and To Kill a Mockingbird. The first presentation will be by Turner Classic Movies, Warner Bros and Fathom Events.

  • Sunday, January 27, 2019 – 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. (local time)
  • Tuesday, January 29, 2019 – 7 p.m. (local time)
  • Wednesday, January 30, 2019 – 7 p.m. (local time)
