King received a Masters Of Fine Arts from Yale University. She has had regular roles in two primetime shows Emily Owens M.D and How To Get Away With Murder. Due to her work in the latter King received appreciation from all over. She played Michaela, a driven and hard working law student, one of the five main students involved in the killing.
The actress received her first NAACP Image Award nomination for her work in the show. King then took one step ahead with features like Reversion and The Birth Of A Nation. The latter of which got her on the list of ‘Biggest Breakthrough Performance’ by the Variety magazine.
