The raw young talent who is best known for her role as Moana in the Disney animated feature film, Moana and Lilette Suarez in the television series, Rise is none other than Auli;l Cravalho.
She was born on 22nd November in 2000 in Kohala, Hawaii, the U.S. She is of Portuguese, Native Hawaiian, Irish, Puerto Rican, and Chinese descent. She became the freshman of the year in her high school and sang soprano in the glee club at Kamehameha School.
She was discovered by a talent agent at a charity competition and being encouraged by him, she gave the audition for the role in the Disney animated feature film, Moana and she was selected to lend her voice to the title role in the film in 2016. The following year, she also lent her voice as Moana in the short film, Moana: Gone Fishing. She made a cameo in the film Ralph Breaks the Internet in 2018 as Moana. She will next reprise the role in the film, Sorta Like a Rock Star on Netflix. She first appeared on television in 2018 with the television series, Rise in the role of Lilette Suarez. She also played the role of Rayna Perez in the series, Weird City in 2019. That year, she portrayed the role of Ariel in The Little Mermaid Live. It was a live-action concert rendition of The Little Mermaid. She also lent her voice as Veronica in the television series, Elena of Avalor in 2019. In 2018, she made her off-Broadway debut with the production of Have a Nice Day at Minetta Lane Theatre.
