A lot of fans have said that the movie’s title must have been Thanos: Infinity War, as he is not only the main lead of the film but, also the leading villain and the Avengers, etc. give the appearance of supporting characters. He was the deadliest villain that Avengers battled and they got mauled eventually by his sheer power and guts to do anything needed to succeed in his mission.
The latest Thanos Concept art unveiled a new look, Thanos. The purple cosmic warlord had made life impossible for the Avengers. His aim was to restore the universe’s balance by murdering half of the life from the universe and getting hold of the remaining limited resources to be used wisely by the surviving half. He grabbed the six Infinity Stones and used them to complete his mission.
This was the massive upheaval in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and this film silenced those voices of criticism about Marvel films not featuring any compelling enemies. This film had a much darker tone and devastating consequences, and the same tone is expected to carry into Avengers 4 next year. This is what the directors, Russo Brothers said:
“We will say this, obviously Thanos is a very formidable villain and to beat Thanos will come at a very high cost. We’re committed to stakes, we believe in stakes, and we like to shake up the Marvel Universe. We had a big game-changer at the end of Winter Soldier, had a big game-changer at the end of Civil War, a big game-changer at the end of Infinity War. Obviously, there will be a big game changer at the end of Avengers 4.”
However, the finger snap sapped Thanos of almost all that he had. In fact, he even confessed to it when he traveled to the soul world and found Gamora there. She asked him, “What it took” and he replied “Everything.” Even if you are a God, a Deity to a sect that worships you, but, when you use not one or two, but, six Infinity Stones at the same time, to kill half of the universe, and alter reality as per one’s own fancy, the outcome will make your body endure a lot of impacts. Thanos can be seen holding a new weapon in the Avengers 4 concept art.
We wonder if Thanos’ actions have played havoc with his body or the Infinity Gauntlet? We will find out the answer in Avengers 4. However, here we are going to share with you some fascinating update about the new weapon of Thanos. The fact is Thanos’ new weapon has already been revealed in an Infinity War Toy.
The brand new Avengers 4 concept art features the revamped costume designs for The Avengers. They also disclosed a new look for Thanos. He can be seen in a battle armor, holding a repaired Infinity Gauntlet in one hand and his other hand had a double bladed sword cum mayhem weapon.
Another great thing about the dual sword held by Thanos is that this weapon had already been revealed in a toy line associated with Avengers: Infinity War. That piece was featured in an image that shows Thanos taking on the Iron-Man.
The promotional art might be one of the old designs that were eventually discarded. However, the timing is too right to ignore. The promotional art features Thanos in his new costume, but, also the surviving Avengers.
The heroes that are seen in this concept art remain alive at the end of the film include the Avengers founding members, and Ant-Man as well as Captain Marvel. Is that a coincidence? No, not in our opinion. Toyline makers are usually given ideas about the complete or at least significant elements of the script and narrative so that they can create toys and accessories genuinely associated with the film.
The Thanos that we see in this concept art and the one that was seen in Infinity War toyline previously can’t be identical only by chance. There has to be some plot relevance that we will see in Avengers 4.
Take a look at the Avengers 4 concept art featuring Thanos.
Will this new weapon wielded by Thanos once again turn the tide? We are going to find out on May 3, next year. Fans are of the opinion that most of the heroes who died in Avengers: Infinity War will return in the sequel, but, things are not as simple as that. Avengers 4 is going to be an extension of things that happened in Infinity War, despite not being a standard sequel. Here is what the film,’s writers said:
Markus – “[Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is. Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief”.
McFeely – “Put it this way. I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same film-making team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previously”.
There is still a long time to go before Avengers 4 hits the big screen. In the meanwhile, we can enjoy, relax and speculate. The brief Avengers 4 movie synopsis is shared below:
“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
