While the deal of Disney and Fox is just a few days away from closing, and the YouTuber, Mightyraccoon! has brought the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool into the MCU with an all-new edit of the latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame.
Earning more than 3 million views over the past few days, the video has found a very interesting way of inserting the Merc with a Mouth into every frame of last week’s preview, and by the standards of fan edits, it is surely well done. The highlights include Wade Wilson getting shot with an arrow and also getting hit on his head with Thor’s axe.
While there had been concerns among all fans that the Deadpool series would not be allowed to stay R-rated under the Marvel Studios banner, Disney CEO Bob Iger had put all these fears to rest. This bodes well for Deadpool 3, which the actor, Ryan Reynolds has confirmed to now be in the works.
It seems like Wade Wilson may be the only star of Fox’s X-Men universe to have survived the transition to Disney, with this year’s Dark Phoenix which will be the last chapter in the franchise’s main series. We hope that Marvel Studios will offer a few clarifications on what is next for all the characters by the end of the year.
Avengers: Endgame will release on April 26th.
