In 1968, she appeared as Kelinda in the series Star Trek. Afterward, she appeared in several TV series such as The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Tarzan, Cool Million, Un posto al sole, Capri, and many more. She made her big-screen debut with the film, What a Way to Go in 1964. She was featured semi-nude for the editions of Playboy magazine in 1965 and 1967. She played the role of Miss Moneypenny in the film, Casino Royale in 1967. In 1970, Bouchet moved to Italy and started to appear in Italian films. She starred in Black Belly of the Tarantula and also appeared in the television film, The Scarlet and The Black in 1983. Her other films are Sweet Charity, Danger Route, The Swinging Confessors, Caliber 9, and many more.

In 1974, she married Luigi Borghese with whom she has two sons. The couple got separated in 2006.

She has not achieved any awards in her career but was nominated for the Silver Ribbon Award in 2018.
