She landed the variety show of country music Hee Haw and continuous enjoyed her singing career. She made her debut in films in 1970 with the comedy film The Naughty Cheerleaders. She also appeared on television in 1976 with the television show The Bobby Vinton Show. Later, she appeared in several television shows including The Sonny & Cher Show, Marcus Welby, M.D., McCloud, Sugar Time, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Charlie’s Angels, Circus of the Stars, Murder She Wrote, The Girl Next Door, Entertainment Tonight, and many others. The films in which she took part such as The Great American Beauty Contest, For the Love of it, The Third Girl from the Left, Deathstalker, and others.
She also made her career in singing. Her record Brass Buckles ranked number 5 on Billboard’s Country singles chart. She recorded eight albums. She composed and sang songs. Her most famous song Ain’t That Just the Way hit number one in Sweden for 5 weeks. She retired from the industry in the 1980s to raise her children.
In 1979, she married George Gradow with whom she has two children.
Though she has not achieved so many awards throughout her career, she won the Entertainer’s Award in 2007.
