Voice Cast And First Look At DC’s ‘Batman Hush’ Revealed

DC Comics’ “Batman: Hush” storyline by Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb is now getting ready to be adapted into a DC Universe Animated Movie. A new article has revealed the first photo of Batman from the Batman: Hush film and the Dark Knight will be voiced by actor Jason O’Mara.

In addition to this image, IGN had revealed the voice cast for this film. You will see that it is a mix of a lot of new voices like Maury Sterling voicing as Tommy Elliot and also a few returning voices like Jerry O’Connell, O’Mara, and Stuart Allan. This is the full casting:

“The film brings back many DC Universe Original Movie veterans, including Jason O’Mara, who reprises the role of Batman. O’Mara is joined by Jennifer Morrison as Selina Kyle, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor, Sean Maher as Nightwing, Bruce Thomas as Jim Gordon, Stuart Allan as Damian Wayne, and James Garrett as Alfred. Homeland actor Maury Sterling voices the key role of Thomas Elliot. Rounding out the cast are Geoffrey Arend as Riddler, Vanessa Williams as Amanda Waller, Jason Spisak as Joker, Adam Gifford as Bane, Dachie Alessio as Lady Shiva, Peyton List plays dual roles as Batgirl and Poison Ivy, and Tara Strong voices Reporter…Batman: Hush is directed by Justin Copeland and written by Ernie Altbacker.”

If you do not know the 2002-2003 storyline, well, here it is:

“Hush” is a true Batman detective mystery, and it sees the Dark Knight being stalked by an unseen enemy. GThe shadowy manipulator goes on to sabotage Batman’s missions at very crucial moments, and as the investigation proves, the puppet master is retraining Batman’s old rogues to work and battle in new ways. The deeper the Caped Crusader looks into this matter, the more clear it becomes that he is locked in a pretty deadly game with a player who is two moves ahead of him.

Hush is famous for how deeply it actually explored Batman and Bruce Wayne. This story approaches so many of the fan-favourite Batman rogues in a lot of hard-boiled detective Noir angles, and revitalized a few of the classic enemies, and also introduces a lot of great new ones. It will be super interesting to see this play out in animated form.

Batman: Hush is expected sometime in 2019.
