The manga world is a fascinating phenomenon that encompasses a wide range of genres and storylines. Although the majority of manga genres are similar to those found in Western art, there are a few that are unique to Japanese art. The majority of them are rarely seen in the West, while a few are, but under different names.
Ecchi is a slang term for sexually playful actions in the Japanese language. The term is used in fandoms all over the world to describe ambiguously sexual nuances, associations, and themes.
Ecchi is thrilling in and of itself and is well-liked by anime and manga fans alike. Add to that the sight of attractive young women dressed in sultry outfits taking part in various action sequences. It’s now clear why the genre has a devoted following of its own.
We’ll focus on the ecchi genre in today’s article, giving you a list of the 28 best ecchi manga to read.

To make matters worse, Emiru caught him peeping, so he storms into the next room to apologize.
Unfortunately, he finds himself in an uncomfortable situation with Emiru, who quickly snaps a photo and blackmails him into a mutual peeping relationship. To make matters even more interesting, he discovers that Emiru is in his class at school!
Although Kido is initially amused and only mildly irritated by their relationship, it soon begins to rip at his psyche, sanity, and relationships with other women. Souma reluctantly accepts the offer and heads to Tootsuki’s high school division for the entrance exam. He has no idea that he is about to embark on a new chapter of his life, one filled with new friends, daring rivalries, and sleepless nights.
True, it’s a cooking manga, but it’ll leave you speechless because a kebab burger will have a greater impact on you than a character’s death ever will.
3. GTO: 14 Days in Shonan
It is a side story set in the timeline of Great Teacher Onizuka’s original story. It takes place immediately after the Teshigawara arc.

You’ll finally learn what Onizuka did during his 14-day absence from the GTO series in this new series. The action of Shonan 14 Days takes place between GTO volumes 19 and 20, roughly. What’s fascinating about this series is how the author effectively disguises humor.
This manga is sure to please fans of the original series. With new characters and storylines, it has a similar feel to the original story.
4. High School DxD

To accomplish this, she enrolls in his school in order to secretly support all of Rito’s love interests, including the recently enrolled alien assassin Konjiki no Yami, also known as “Yami,” who causes her next bounty to be postponed because of him. Yami’s younger sister, Kurosaki Mea, however, wants Yami to go back to being an assassin.
To LOVE-Ru Darkness w Darkness follows on from the events of To LOVE-Ru, with new girls, new foes, and even more lewd moments.
To LOVE-Ru Darkness has a more dramatic plot than the original series’ light-hearted episodic comedy. These ladies are attempting to seduce Rito, and some of their methods are extremely hot and aggressive.
9. Domestic na Kanojo

He quickly discovers that his new siblings are Hina and Rui! As he approaches adulthood, Natsuo finds himself in an unexpected love triangle, living with both the teacher he adores and the girl with whom he had his “first time.”

Kaoru’s mother, dissatisfied with his study habits and erotic hobbies, secretly gives Nana some of his S&M toys for safekeeping. Nana is intrigued by the leather costume and decides to try it on, only to lock herself in. She realizes that S&M relaxes her after Kaoru frees her and, much to Kaoru’s delight, requests more erotic stimulation sessions.
This manga is a must-read for fans of fine ecchi, and whether or not you like BDSM, you will undoubtedly become intrigued after reading this manga.
11. Cyclops Shoujo Saipu
Puberty set in when Fuuka was in her second year of middle school. She’s now a tall woman with massive boobs. Her classmates call her “Saipu,” after the cyclops, because of her hairstyle. She expressed her desire to marry him when she was a little girl, and her love for her older brother was adorable. Now it just frightens him because she’s decided she’s old enough to keep her childish promises.
Worse, the girl is hell-bent on having her beloved brother take her virginity and father a child with her! Will Hikaru be able to keep his rambunctious sister at bay long enough for her to finish high school?
This 4-Koma style manga tells the story of a cyclops girl’s life! This is a fanservice-heavy manga with a lot of dirty jokes. This is the manga for you if you’re an ecchi fan looking for a new manga to read and don’t really care about the plot.
12. Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko
Yokodera is like any other adolescent: perversion is in his blood. He can’t stop looking up girls’ skirts and fantasizing about them. In his case, however, every time he does something perverted, it is misinterpreted as something positive for the community. He tries to break free from his perversion by going to a particular part of town.
A wooden sculpture of a beckoning cat on top of a hill, located far from the town at the foot of a a large tree, is said to have special powers. Instead of bringing the user a wish, as a typical beckoning cat would, it takes something from the user, in Yokodera’s case, his perversion.
Still skeptical, he uses the beckoning cat, figuring it couldn’t hurt to give it a shot, but to his surprise, his life is about to take an unexpected turn.
It’s a fantastic slice-of-life manga with a hint of ecchi in it.
13. Kimi no Iru Machi
Haruto Kirishima has been living a peaceful life in his Hiroshima countryside town until Yuzuki Eba, a mysterious city girl, unexpectedly moves in with him.
Yuzuki, a bright and whimsical character, has left Tokyo for the peaceful town she fondly remembers from her childhood and has snuck into Haruto’s life. Haruto, now in an awkward situation, must now put up with spending his high school days with this clumsy, freeloading klutz.
However, as their relationship grows stronger, his heart begins to shift between Yuzuki and his not-so-secret crush, Nanami Kanzaki, a classmate.
Although life in the countryside is slow and simple, Haruto’s problems are as complicated as a city skyline. Kimi no Iru Machi uses the irrefutable unpredictability of time to show how a single day can bring strangers together unexpectedly while another can abruptly separate them.
It depicts love in all of its forms, including the good, the bad, and the harsh, cold reality. It’s one of those stories that you won’t be able to put down once you start reading it, so be ready.
14. Hantsu x Torasshu
Hamaji Youhei, a high school freshman, wanders aimlessly throughout the day. He can’t keep up with his studies, isn’t very athletic, and can’t commit to anything for very long. Aside from that, he’s a pervert who is constantly rejected by women. A sophomore persuades him to join a club where he can lunge at girls, fondle and touch them as much as he wants. Therefore, he became a member of the Water Polo Club.
Can Youhei, who has a hard time sticking to anything for long periods of time, find his place in this club?
It’s a typical romance ecchi series, but the setting is a swimming pool, and the main characters are likable. It flows well, and you’ll find yourself rooting for the male character’s ultimate triumph, which is a good sign of the story’s quality. The fanservice doesn’t interfere with the plot or character development. Rather, fanservice and ecchi are employed to further the plot.
15. Onihime VS
Setsuna Kashiwagi’s only wish is for his younger sister to be happy. Setsuna, who is weak, frail, and constantly bullied, believes he is nothing more than a burden on his sister and wishes to take his own life. A mysterious man appears as he prepares to jump off a bridge and makes him an unusual offer. In exchange for Setsuna’s life, he offers 10 million yen. Setsuna will end his life in the manner that the man chooses after one year if he accepts the contract.
Setsuna accepts despite his initial skepticism. He wakes up the next morning, convinced it was all a dream, to find two beautiful women sitting beside him. Kanna and Rena, two Oni princesses, have arrived to protect Setsuna. The catch is that one of them will eat his heart in a year.
The fantastic characters are who make this series so enjoyable. Unfortunately, it contains several harem cliches, but if you can get past them, you’ll find it to be a fun romance/harem series.
16. No Game No Life
The NEET siblings Sora and Shiro, the online gamers behind the infamous username “Blank,” star in No Game No Life, a surreal comedy. They consider the real world to be just another bad game; however, when they get an e-mail inviting them to a chess game, everything changes—the brother and sister are whisked away to an unknown realm where Tet, the God of Games, awaits.
Sora and Shiro are welcomed to Disboard by the mysterious god, a world where all forms of conflict—from minor quarrels to the fate of entire countries—are resolved through high-stakes games rather than war. This system works because of a basic rule that requires each party to wager something of equal value to the other party’s wager.
Despite their indifferent natures, Shiro and Sora have finally found a purpose in this strange land where humanity is reduced to child’s play: to unite Disboard’s sixteen races, defeat Tet, and become the gods of this new, gaming-is-everything world.

The scene has been set. All of the preparations have been completed. The “Sekirei Project,” a massive battle royale, is about to devastate Shintou Teito’s streets. MBI, a shadowy corporation, has created 108 “Sekirei”—advanced humanoid beings with exceptional combat abilities—for this event.
After being set free in the city, the Sekirei must seek out their “Ashikabi,” masters who can use kissing to unlock and control their fighting potential. Once all of the Sekirei have been paired, they must battle until one team emerges victorious and takes home the mysterious grand prize.
Minato Sahashi, a ronin whose life is as bleak as it gets, enters the picture. His situation becomes even more hopeless when he fails his college entrance exams for the second time. When he meets Musubi, a Sekirei, a bond develops between them, and he finds himself taking on the role of her Ashikabi.
Despite the fact that he begins to enjoy his life with Musubi and the other Sekirei with whom he has formed bonds, he becomes increasingly involved in The Sekirei Project. Minato will have to step up and participate in this demanding, high-stakes battle if he wants to protect his newfound life.
18. Gantz
Has it ever seemed as though your life was going to hell in a handbasket? Death can be a lot worse at times. There is no salvation, no peace, and no god waiting to take you in. But, what’s that, a god? Perhaps you’re referring to the large black ball that has become stuck in your room. Now you’re trapped in a game where you must fight green aliens and robot monsters for your life.
When Kei Kurono is killed, he is drawn into a game that puts his skills, morals, and will to survive to the test. His life is not his own, and his death is repeatedly spat upon and trampled. What will happen if he refuses to listen? God only knows.
A word of caution: Gantz is not for the faint of heart, nor is it as straightforward as it appears. Gore, rape, and violence abound, as do depictions of greed, violence, and all the ugliness that can be found in today’s society. Gantz’s ideas concern the narcissistic state of 21st-century living, mass materialism, and human relations in the face of ever-disturbing circumstances.
19. Medaka Box
Kurokami Medaka, a first-year student, is elected Student Council President, and her first act is to establish a suggestion box, later dubbed the “Medaka Box” by students. Students are encouraged to submit any problems in the box without hesitation, and she promises to deal with any problem that comes in.
Medaka was elected to the Student Council with a whopping 98 percent of the vote, making her the only member of the body. She asks Hitoyoshi Zenkichi, a childhood friend, for assistance, and he reluctantly agrees, becoming the Student Council’s lowest-ranking member.
Soon after, Medaka adds two more members to the Student Council: former judo club member Akune Kouki as secretary and current swim club member Kikaijima Mogana as treasurer, both on loan for 300 yen per day.
Now, Student Council members spend their days resolving problems submitted through the Medaka Box, whether it’s hooligans in clubs where they don’t belong, girls who need help writing love letters, or people who’ve lost their pets, slowly earning the respect and admiration of the entire school.
20. My Dress-Up Darling
Wakana Gojou, a doll-artisan hopeful who was traumatized by a childhood incident with a friend who took issue with his love of traditional dolls, spends his days as a loner, finding solace in his high school’s home ec room. Beautiful Marin Kitagawa, a trendy girl who is always surrounded by a throng of friends, is like an alien from another world to Wakana.
When Marin, who is never shy, notices Wakana sewing one day after school, she barges in with the intention of luring her quiet classmate into her secret hobby: cosplay! Will Wakana’s wounded heart be able to withstand this sexy alien’s invasion?!
This manga is irresistible due to its simple storyline, pure rom-com, and ecchi elements. If you’re looking for a lighthearted ecchi manga with a linear plot and engaging characters, My Dress-Up Darling is definitely worth a look. This manga is recommended to anyone looking for a fan service-oriented manga to read next.

Through a series of trials and tribulations, Sung-Gi improves his conversation and interaction skills with women from the ground up. He quickly realizes the depth and finesse required to properly convey intimate emotions to others.
Sung-Gi becomes more and more interested in a particular girl in his class as he learns about people’s subconscious signals, and he employs a skill that he previously lacked: the Skill of Lure.
22. GE: Good Ending
Seiji Utsumi, a second-year high school student, is hopelessly in love with Shou Iketani, the vivacious and scatterbrained tennis club captain from the year above him, but he can’t bring himself to speak to her. It is perfectly fine for him to merely observe, perhaps a little too literally, because he is unable to make any progress.
As a new semester begins, Seiji is caught spying on the tennis club’s morning practice and accused of peeping by Yuki Kurokawa, a club member who ends up in his class. When Yuki sees that Seiji is serious about Shou and has no bad intentions, she decides to assist him in confessing his feelings.
Seiji realizes that his simplistic view of love and relationships prevents him from seeing the complexity and darkness beneath the surface—for both Shou and Yuki—as he grows closer to Shou with Yuki’s help. Will he be able to get to his happy ending despite all of the heartbreak and misunderstandings?
23. Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou
Kimihito Kurusu lived a quiet and unremarkable existence while his parents were away until monster girls began to crowd in! This alternate reality depicts cutting-edge Japan, the first country to promote non-human species integration into society.
The newly-minted “Darling” quickly attracts girls from numerous species, resulting in an ever-growing harem flush with eroticism and attraction, thanks to the incompetence of interspecies exchange coordinator Agent Smith, who puts Kimihito in charge of a Lamia named Miia.
Unfortunately for him and the ladies, the Interspecies Exchange Act prohibits sexual interactions between species! The only way to get around it is to use an experimental marriage provision. As passionate, affectionate, and lusty women pursue his every move, seeking his affections.
Kimihito’s life becomes increasingly complicated with species-specific caveats and sensitive interspecies law. The future of Kimihito and his harem is unclear, with new species appearing all the time and events seemingly out of nowhere!
24. Grand Blue
Iori Kitahara, a freshman at Izu University, is just starting his freshman year amid Izu’s ocean waves and the rays of the shining sun. He looks forward to his dream college life, filled with beautiful girls and good friends, as he moves into his uncle’s scuba diving shop, Grand Blue.
Things, sadly, do not always go according to plan. When he enters the shop, he is immediately coerced into participating in their alcoholic activities by a group of rowdy, naked upperclassmen. Iori, despite his initial reluctance, eventually gives in and becomes the party’s heart and soul.
Unfortunately, this earns him the wrath of his cousin, Chisa Kotegawa, who happens to walk in at the worst possible moment. Iori remains unfazed, vowing to live out his ideal college life, but will things go as planned this time, or will his situation worsen?
Grand Blue’s story is straightforward but engrossing to read. It follows a group of new students who have no idea what they want to do with their lives and join a club out of curiosity, but Grand Blue does a fantastic job with this.
25. We Never Learn
Nariyuki Yuiga, a third-year high school student, dedicated himself to becoming a high-achieving student in his school, despite his history of poor grades, as his late father always said that a useless man should strive to be useful.
In order to give his family a better life, he aims to obtain the VIP scholarship, a prestigious scholarship that will cover all future university tuition fees. Despite the fact that Nariyuki could theoretically be a shoo-in for the award, he is constantly overshadowed in mathematics and literature by classmates Rizu Ogata and Fumino Furuhashi.
Nariyuki is ecstatic to be nominated, but there’s a catch: he’ll have to tutor his two star classmates, who are both hopelessly mediocre in the other’s respective field! To make matters worse, the subjects in which they are horrible, are the subjects in which they wish to specialize in the future. Nariyuki needs to find an effective tutoring method for the girls before it’s too late, as the deadline for submitting university applications approaches.
26. Sundome
The new president of the Roman club is Hideo Aiba, which is dedicated to preserving boyhood dreams and remaining virgins until high school graduation. Kurumi Sahana is a cute new transfer student who joins the Roman club, which is currently “all boys.”
Kurumi sexually annoys Hideo by forcing him to do her bidding during club activities and during the school day. Hideo simply desires to be with Kurumi for whatever reason. Kyouko, a jealous girl, soon begins to frequent the club, as Kurumi appears to be drawing the attention of every boy at school. The girls quickly begin offering “rewards” to the club’s male members for participating in the activities they desire. The result is a mixture of sexual frustration and hilarity.
In ecchi manga, the story of a young, nerdy loser hooking up with a cute girl is fairly standard. It has been recycled without fail, and for many people, reading one is the same as reading all of them. Sundome, however, is unique. Sexuality is explored in this manga in order to make a larger statement about the human condition, rather than using it to tantalize the readers.
27. Kanokon
Kouta is having supernatural girl problems. He continues to attract the attention and affections of animal spirits for some reason!
Kouta is understandably nervous when he moves in with his grandmother to attend a high school in the big city after spending most of his life in the country. He wanted to make a good first impression, but having Chizuru, a beautiful fox spirit, dangling from his arm didn’t seem to fit the bill. She isn’t the only one who adores Kouta. The wolf spirit Nozomu, as well as other youkai, have set their sights on the unfortunate country boy.
A supernatural setting with plenty of eye candy and fan service. This manga was created with the intention of being eye candy, and it succeeded admirably. Reading Kanokon is a lot of fun, and it’s interesting enough to keep you entertained.
28. Love Hina
When he was a kid, Keitaro Urashima promised a girl that they would meet at Tokyo University. As a result, he has attempted two years in a row to gain admission to the prestigious university without success. He is allowed to keep his dorm manager position, but his clumsiness frequently gets him into trouble with the girls. To realize his ambition, he studies with Naru Narusegawa, who has her own reasons for wanting to attend Tokyo University.
Thus continues the unpopular Keitarou’s arduous journey to gain admission to Tokyo University, all in the hopes of fulfilling a childhood promise to the only girl who has ever shown any interest in him, and perhaps, just maybe, meeting her again.
