Brooke Burns is another of the drop-dead bombshells from Baywatch who continues to look amazing. Now in her 40s, the sexy Brooke might not be much visible outside the films on Hallmark and Lifetime, but, it is probably due to the fact that she is deliberately not too keen on doing a lot of work and enjoying finer things in life.
Born as Brooke Elizabeth Burns on March 16, 1978 in Dallas, Texas to Brad and Betsy Burns, she is an American fashion model, game show host, actress and TV personality. During her childhood she danced ballet for 12 years and started modeling when she was 15 after she had to give up ballet due to an ACL tear in a skiing accident. At the age of 16, she and her family moved to Europe and she lived in Paris, Milan and Munich.
Her debut on TV was as Peg in a Spanish-American teen sitcom Out of the Blue (1995-96), appearing in all the episodes, but, getting little fame. However, she came to prominence in the year 1998 when she joined the cast of Baywatch alongside David Hasselhoff and Kelly Packard. She played the role of Jessie Owens and also appeared in Baywatch: Hawaii alongside Simmone Jade Mackinnon, Stacy Kamano, and David Hasselhoff. After a pregnancy induced break, she returned to appear in various TV shows such as the sitcom Just Shoot Me! And also in American soap opera North Shore. She hosted game shows such as Dog Eat Dog, Hole In The Wall and the quiz show The Chase. For this show, she was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host. She also played roles in films like the romantic comedy Shallow Hal, mockbuster disaster Titanic II, and a drama Where Hope Grows (2014).
On November 10, 2005 she suffered a nearly paralyzing injury after breaking her neck while diving into her own pool at home. Despite making a full recovery, she now has a titanium fusion in her neck that consists of a plate, rod, and 10 screws. In May 2014, she was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles.
She was married to actor Julian McMahon from 1999 to 2001. They have a daughter named Madison Elizabeth McMahon who was born in June 2000. On June 22, 2013, she got married to film director Gavin O’Connor and is now a resident of Los Angeles. Burns gave birth to a daughter named Declan Welles on January 22, 2017.
