The British actress who is mainly famous for her role as Lara Croft in the video games, Tomb Raider and its sequels and Jo Wilson in the medical drama series, Grey’s Anatomy is none other than Camilla Luddington.
She was born on 15th December in 1983 in Ascot, Berkshire, England. At the age of 14, she moved to Austin, Texas and studied at Westwood High School. After returning to England, she completed her studies at The American School. At the age of 19, she4 enrolled in Susquehanna University and later, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
She made her acting debut in 2007 with the film, A Couple of White Chicks at the Hairdresser. In 2010, she was cast as Jane Bennet in the short film, Pride and Prejudice, and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls. She starred in The Part 2 as of June Abbott in 2014. She lent her voice as Zatanna in the film, Justice League Dark in 2017. She made her first appearance on television in 2010 with the television series, The Forgotten. In 2011, she appeared as Taila in the series, The Defenders. She got fame for playing the role of Catherine Kate Middleton in the television film, William & Kate: The Movie in 2011.
The following year, she was cast as Lizzie in the series, Californication. She became famous for portraying the role of Jo Wilson in the series Grey’s Anatomy in which she is working since 2012. She also got fame for lending her voice as Lara Croft in the video game, Tomb Raider in 2013. She reprised her role in its sequels of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raiser in 2015 and 2018 respectively.
In 2019, she got married to the actor, Matthew Alan with whom she has a child and is pregnant with her second child.
She has been nominated for the NAVGTR Award, The Game Award, and Spike Video Game Award.
