Canadian actress and model Jacoba Francisca Maria “Cobie” Smulders is professionally known as Cobie Smulders was born on 3rd April 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia, to a British mother and a Dutch father. As a girl, Cobie had set her sights on becoming a doctor or an aquatic biologist. It wasn’t until high school that Cobie began to scrutinize acting after occurring in numerous school productions. As a teenager, she grabbed the eye of a modeling agency, which directed to various years of world travel to places such as Japan, Italy, France, Greece, and Germany.
Yet even as Cobie’s modeling career was on the growth, she still managed to attend school, graduating from high school in 2000 with honors. Once out of high school, she proceeded to model internationally until the chance arose to audition for film and television. It was not too long before her actual ability as an actress mesmerized casting directors, landing her guest appearance on television series such as Special Unit 2, and Jeremiah. Besides, she also occurred in the short Candy from Strangers in 2001 directed by fellow Canadian rising celebrity Eric Johnson.
She cracked the biggest chance after she did the character of Juliet Droil in the ABC program Veritas: The Quest in 2003. The series commemorated her first series role for television. Cobie reprised the character in three episodes of the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and the films Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: End Game and also Spider-Man Far From Home.
She presently features as Dex Parios in the ABC drama Stumptown, which premiered on 25th September 2019.
In the year 2015, Cobie disclosed that at the age of 25 she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer while shooting season three of How I Met Your Mother in 2007.
