Danielle Brooks, the American voice artist, was born on 17 September 1989 in Augusta, Georgia. She had an interest in acting from a very young age. Her first-ever acting role was at the age of six when she appeared in a nativity play by the church. After her graduation, Danielle started her acting career on stage.
She was cast in Servant of Two Masters and Blacken the Bubble, produced by the Shakespeare Theatre Company. She dropped out of both roles in 2013 after joining the cast of the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. Her portrayal of Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson earned her appreciation from the audience.
