David Hasselhoff has told all his fans to “stay tuned” while talking about a potential Knight Rider series. This actor had revealed why these talks to bring this show back had been sputtered and stalled out. It looks like after all these years later, Hasselhoff has now figured out why Baywatch and Knight Rider have been so successful, and he is now ready to get behind the wheel and introduce the character and KITT to a new generation.
In a very recent interview, David Hasselhoff had been asked about the status of the Knight Rider’s reboot. Before having discussed the reboot, he had explained why the very idea to bring this series back had failed.
“We talked about another series about eight to nine years ago. But they wanted to do it without me. I wanted to tell them what the morals behind Knight Rider were, the morals behind Baywatch and why they worked!”
After having discussed why he must be involved in the Knight Rider reboot, and he had mentioned that he did not have to star and had pitched an idea of a cameo. The studio had then decided against bringing this show back without Hasselhoff. When he had then been asked about the reboot, Hasselhoff had offered a tease:
“I’m not supposed to say anything, but stay tuned. The Knight Rider will ride again!”
While discussing the popularity of the Knight Rider series, Hasselhoff had said that he had been reminded about why this show, and Baywatch, had resonated with a lot of people across the world. It is now unclear how and when this reboot will happen, but this actor seems much more confident now. He explains:
“I was on my honeymoon, and this guy said to be ‘You know why Knight Rider is so popular?’ So I said ‘Why?’ He told me, ‘You put your morals into Knight Rider and into Baywatch, that’s why they are popular.’ I thought, yes that’s true! I don’t need to be brave and fight like Knight Rider or swim like in Baywatch. It’s not that, it’s about why they do it.”
In November, Hasselhoff had spoken about this project and had said that it had been in development during this time-he had been talking about doing a Knight Rider film.
