The creator of Deadpool, Rob Liefeld has just penned an open letter to the Wolverine actor, Hugh Jackman urging him to suit up as the X-Men character for one last time. Hugh Jackman had recently reiterated that he is done playing the role of the mutant on the silver screen. But the Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds has been bothering him about the return for a crossover film with Deadpool.

After the release of the movie, Logan, Hugh Jackman had hung up his claws and decided never to wear them again. Other than this, the 50-year-old actor has said he feels that the world does not want to see a Deadpool and Wolverine crossover film. Rob Liefeld has now taken to Instagram and has written a very heartfelt letter to assure Jackman:

“Dear thehughjackman just checking in to reassure you per your recent comments that, yes, fans absolutely desire on the deepest possible level of affection and excitement that we can collectively muster to see you return as Wolverine alongside Ryan as Deadpool. Being in the comic business for 33 years and speaking as someone who has crafted a few memorable encounters between Logan and Wade, I can guarantee and confirm an audience and a reaction like nothing you have ever before experienced!! Wolverine is my favourite character in the history of comics; he inspired every aspect of Deadpool’s creation!! Please give some consideration to unsheathing your claws for one more glorious adventure! #wolverine #deadpool #marvel p.s. please feel free to adapt directly from Wolverine #154-155 and feature The Administrator, The Watchtower! Unapologetically and unashamedly, your pal, Rob! #BiggerthanInfinityWar #robliefeld”.

Rob Liefeld surely does have a point. Maybe the use of the hashtag #BiggerThanInfinityWar is a little too much, but seeing Logan and Wade together on the silver screen would be huge. These two characters had shared the frame in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but this film had botched the character of Deadpool in a huge and bad way. The Deadpool 2 movie had included a post-credit scene, where Wade travels back in time for undoing the film.

A film with Jackman’s Wolverine and Reynolds’ Deadpool would surely crush the box office. Rob Liefeld had also suggested a few some great source materials for o inspiring the story in the form of Wolverine #154 and #155.
