Veteran American actress and model Denise Michelle Crosby was born on 24th November 1957 in Hollywood, California. Forming part of the substantial Crosby family dynasty, this remarkable leading actress, has seemed in film and television since the early 1980s. A photo reach in a 1979 edition of Playboy magazine and a repeated character in the soap opera Days of our Lives in 1980 allowed Denise to break out to stardom. She had a small character in the film 48 Hrs. She also appeared in Trail of the Pink Panther, Curse of the Pink Panther. Her career started to pick up in the mid-1980s. She seemed in a variety of films and made-for-TV movies, including Malice in Wonderland, Dessert Hearts, Eliminators, Stark, Miracle Mile.
In the year 1987, she caught her big break portraying Lieutenant Tasha Yar in Star Trek: The Next Generation. In the following year, she left the series due to the diminishing size of her character but returned as a guest character in the early 1990s. In the year 1989, she characterized the mother of a dead toddler in Stephen King’s somewhat hokey horror novel film modification Pet Sematary.
The 1990s brought few chances to Denise. But she worked consistently, seeming in a television series in 1993. She made several guest arrivals, including a couple of episodes of the raunchy cable series Red Show Diaries. There were also characters in Mutant Species, Relative Fear, Executive Power. More high-profile work came in the form of a small role in Jackie Brown, portraying a public defender, and a sizable part as a pregnant mother in the hit catastrophe movie Deep Impact.
She gained acclaim as a Star Trek fan by producing and presenting Trekkies and its sequel Trekkies 2.
Since 2000, she has seemed on television in guest characters on JAG, The X-Files, The Agency, Eyes, Threat Matrix, Dexter. She acted in the award-winning short film The Bus Stops Here.
