Born on October 31, 1979 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Erica Cerra is a sexy Canadian actress whose biggest shot to fame have been her performances as Deputy Jo Lupo on the Syfy series Eureka, and artificial intelligence A.L.I.E. and her creator Becca on The 100.
The mesmerizing beauty has Italian roots. She was fascinated with acting from her childhood and she first appeared in the Canadian show KidZone and later in various commercials as a child. Subsequently, she took a break from acting. She stated “It was about wanting to be 14… I wanted to be 14 with no responsibility but I always wanted to act again.”
From 2001 until 2006, Cerra played a lot of guest roles on popular as well as critically acclaimed television shows such as Battlestar Galactica, The L Word, and Smallville. She also played roles in The 4400, The Dead Zone, Reaper, Huff and Dead Like Me, a Canadian police procedural drama Cold Squad, a monster-hunting action series Special Unit 2, and a supernatural thriller series The Collector. She also played roles in prominent big screen releases such as Man About Town with Ben Affleck and Rebecca Romijn and Blade: Trinity with Wesley Snipes.
In the year 2006, she featured in a music video for the Michael Buble song “Save the Last Dance for Me.” In the same year, she also landed her most famous role as Deputy Jo Lupo on Eureka, a Syfy series which aired between 2006 and 2012. Her character was integral to the series throughout its five seasons.
She has also played various guest roles in series like Warehouse 13, Sanctuary, Supernatural and Motive. She played a recurring role in USA Network series Rush (2014) and a CW series iZombie in 2015.
Erica Cerra got married to Raffaele Fiore in November 2010, and gave birth to their first child, a daughter in May 2012.
