Her other television series are Studio One, Plymouth Playhouse, Producers’ Showcase, Fatal Vision, and the others. She lent her voice as Katara in the series The Legend of Korra from 2012-2014. She made her big-screen debut with the film, On the Waterfront in 1954 for which she won the Academy Award. In 1959, she was cast in Alfred Hitchcock’s film, North by Northwest for which she became very famous. She appeared in the Stalking Moon in 1968. Her other films are Don’t Come Knocking, Nothing in Common, Winter’s Tale, The Sandpiper, Raintree County, and so on. She has two Star of Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 1951, she married producer and director, Jeffrey Hayden with whom she had two children. But the couple got divorced in 2016 at the age of 90.

Apart from winning an Academy Award, she won the Emmy Award, Golden Boot Award, BTVA Voice Acting Award, and the others.
