
When a new movie adaptation of comic book superheroes is announced, the very first thing that the fans start questioning if the movie will follow the comic book sources or if the filmmakers would make their own changes and ruin the movie. While this does look like an overreaction nowadays, there had been a time when Hollywood never used to really respect or stick to comic books. They would always adapt a comic book into a film that hardly resembled its source material. Characters like Bullseye had made appearances on the silver screen in many suits that were not even close to the suit that character had worn in the comic books.
Fortunately, we had movies like Spider-Man and X-Men that had proven that movie adaptations can be faithful to the comic book sources. Over the years, Hollywood has embraced the comic books, and while no film is a perfect and fan-pleasing adaptation, a whole lot of comic book films are very true to their comic book sources.
