Eventually, Hope was chosen by Doland Trump for the press secretary for his presidential campaign. During this time she played the role of gatekeeper to press members and handling over 250 requests a day. Subsequently, she became a part of the Trump Administration in the position of the White House director of strategic communications and the following year she was appointed as the interim White House director. During 2018 she gave 9 hours of closed testimony to the House Intelligence Committee and the next day the White House expressed that Hope planned to resign but eventually she couldn’t. In 2019 Hope began working for Fox Corporation as a CEO.
