There have been so many elements of the movie, Avengers: Infinity War that all the fans have loved. What people adored the most was the character, Steve Rogers (Captain America). This had been the very first time that all the Marvel fans had seen Captain America with his long hair and a beard. Many early concept artworks of this character have also ditched the old and original Captain America costume:
We may have all really liked to see Steve Rogers in this apparel, but unfortunately, the character’s role had been just reduced to a man who knew another guy -T’Challa. Thor and Man had a good amount of screen time, but not Cap. This character had just 2 to 3 moments that really amazed all the fans. Yes, we are all happy that the Russo Brothers will not be treating him in the same way in the movie, Avengers 4. The directors have admitted that they were forced to reduce Cap’s role in the movie, Infinity War, but he will surely have a much more exciting and extended story arc in the movie, Avengers 4.
The actor, Chris Evans had also confirmed that his contract with Marvel Studios was over and he has even thrown light on the possibility of returning for this role:
“Well, you know, my contract is over, so that’s as far as I know. [I’ll miss] everything [about Captain America]. I mean, it’s not just the character, it’s the people – the experience, such good movies, such wonderful memories. I’ll miss a lot.”
In an earlier interview, Chris Evans had said:
“You want to get off the train before they push you off. I used to have thoughts of wanting to climb to the top of something or wanting to be somebody. But when you get the thing that you think you want and then you wake up and realize that you still have pockets of sadness and that your struggle will reinvent itself, you stop chasing after those things and it is liberating, because you realize that right here, right now, is exactly all I need.”
All the Marvel fans had taken this to be an indication that Captain America would die in the upcoming Avengers 4 movie, but the actor also had this to say:
“I should clarify that I know I did tweet something that made a lot of people think that it was in someway a spoiler. I should clarify that regardless of how Avengers 4 ends, I would have tweeted the exact same thing. That last day of filming was a very emotional day, and it was the culmination of almost 10 years of filming and 22 movies, this unbelievable tapestry. You feel a lot more emotions than I think even I thought I’d feel. And I felt it was appropriate to share the gratitude. I know it had a ripple effect, but I am neither confirming or denying anything.”
Avengers 4 will release on May 3, 2019.
