The MCU actors, Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America) are the two big shots of Hollywood, and they led the Avengers over these few years. While Asgard’s Thor has been away from Earth, Tony and Cap had fought it out in 2016 movie, Captain America: Civil War and this had broken the Avengers apart. The fact that the Avengers being apart was one big reason that they had lost the battle against the Mad Titan, Thanos. Steve Rogers and Tony might not really be on any similar terms as of now, but we can be assured that the actors playing these characters, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. are surely best friends in the real world.
A lot of the fans have wanted to see these characters unite in the latest movie, Infinity War. It had almost happened when Tony Stark was seen opening his phone to call Steve, but he had been interrupted by Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidion. Eventually, this reunion did not take place.
While the reunion of Cap and Tony would have been a really great one to see on screen, it is still very special to see the actors, Evans and Downey laughing together. It is much more fun if they are on stage for an event or just doing something like reacting to a few memes and posts about their characters.
RDJ had just tweeted a post and was reacting to a Captain America meme that had been made from the Bloopers and Gag Reels, and this had justified the different natures of Chris Evans, and the character he plays, Steve Rogers. Cap is a very serious and super responsible person and the actor, Evans is a whole lot more fun and jolly. The actor’s trademark laugh is what all the fans love.
Chris Evans had done something very similar in a Gag Reel of the movie, Age of Ultron. During the last moment of the film where Cap calls out all the new Avengers, he is about to say ‘Assemble,’ and then, the scene cuts off and Chris Evans points at the camera and says, “Huh, Got you”!
Chris Evans had agreed to him being fun instead of the serious character. But the fans must be all ready for a pretty harsh truth that both Downey and Evans would soon be bidding farewell to the MCU after the Avengers 4 movie releases.
Tony Stark was alive in Infinity War because he has a very crucial role to play in the Avengers 4 movie. The directors had admitted that Captain America would have a reduced role in Infinity War, but they also have now confirmed the very fact that he will have a much more big story arc in the Avengers 4 movie.
The actors have also confirmed that their contracts would be ending after the Avengers 4 movie.
