James Cameron has now announced that the cast of the Avatar sequels have now finished the production. While the major cast has completed with the sequels, James Cameron will now go through the entire post-production process. The actress, Sigourney Weaver, had revealed that she had been working on Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 and she had then added that there is a whole lot of underwater scenes.
In an all-new new video, James Cameron had announced that the Avatar sequel movies have finished the principal photography. The director had also made this announcement while promoting the trailer for Alita: Battle Angel. James Cameron had gone on to mention Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, and Sigourney Weaver and also praised them for their hard work. The production for these sequels had begun in the year, 2017.
Avatar 2 will release on December 18th, 2020, and this will be followed by Avatar 3 on December 17th, 2021. The movies, Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 have been expected to release on December 20th, 2024 and December 19th, 2025. Cameron has also said that they will not release the 4th and 5th movies unless the first sequels are successful at the box office. Given that the very first instalment is the highest grossing film of all time, it looks very likely that the fans will see all the five films in the next few years.
James Cameron had also spent a lot of months in the pre-production process for the movie, Avatar 2 with the cast and crew for getting the new motion-capture technology all worked out. The cast had learned how to free dive, and the new technology will be a huge gamechanger for the entertainment industry.
Story plot details about the sequels are now under wraps, and the movies will be titled, Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa.
