Kan’u is the main heroine of the visual novel Koihime+Musou series. She is caring and therefore seeing people suffer with Yellow Turban rebellion leaves her hometown with Chōhi. This quest also shapes up to be a search for the master who holds the power to quell the violence.
Her first act is undoubtedly saving Hongō Kazuto from a group of bandits when he is warped to her world. She thinks Kazuto to be the messenger because of his unique attire and vocabulary. Though he himself denies it Kan’u still believes that he is the saviour because of his demeanour and tendency to put other people’s needs above himself. She is one of the first to devote herself to him. But after it is made clear to her that it is not the case, she insists on keeping up the act to keep everyone’s morale high.
Even after successfully putting the Yellow Turban Rebellion under control she remains in charge of her fraction and continues to work for them. In Shin Koihime†Musō, she if undertaken the Shoku route will be seen as Ryūbi’s second-in-command and confidante. She is very strict and makes sure all rules are followed, especially towards characters like Ryūbi (due to Ryūbi being a rather naive and reluctant ruler), and Kazuto.
The fact that Kazuto is such a flirt bothers her immensely as she herself harbours romantic feelings for him. It is interesting to note because of the way the arc develops that after Ryubi gets introduced Kan’u is no longer the main character.
