She took born on 30th March in 1981 in Pensacola, Florida. She gained a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.
She began her acting career by appearing in the production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in 2001. Then, she moved to Los Angeles and took part in the theatre of American Standard. She played Victoria Flynn in the series Mike & Molly. Mixon became famous for portraying the main role of Katie Otto in the series American Housewife in which she is working since 2016. Her other television series are Robot Chicken, Neo Yokio, Wilfred, My Name Is Earl, etc.
She has a son and a daughter with her husband Breaux Greer.
Though she has not won any awards, she was nominated for BTVA Feature Film Voice Acting Award and Gotham Independent Film Award.
