All the Marvel fans had been waiting for a very long time to know the title of the movie, Avengers 4. A few of the early guesses that the movie would be called “Endgame” had been shot down, but now we know that the Avengers 4 movie will indeed be called, Endgame.

According to Kevin Feige, the MUC’s head, a few games and tricks with keeping the title of Avengers: Endgame a huge secret had been required as this title would be a spoiler.

This is what Kevin Feige had said while talking with Collider:

“Well, I think I’d said that it all had gotten blown out of proportion to some extent. But it was a spoiler, because if you knew before Infinity War came out that the next movie was called Endgame, then you know that there wasn’t an ending to Infinity War. But that had been the title of the movie from the moment we conceived of doing the two films. In large part, because…it’s seeded right there. I mean, it’s seeded in Ultron.”

Kevin Feige’s reply actually covers why the titles for the movies, Infinity War and Endgame were not revealed together but this Marvel maestro has also wiggled right around the very issue of why the Endgame title reveal had been so drawn out.

The Avengers: Endgame title reveal had played out like J.J. Abrams secret of Benedict Cumberbatch playing the role of Khan in Star Trek: Into Darkness.

Well, we can say that the name of the Avengers 4 movie does not matter as much as the anticipation for what the movie would be about. “Avengers: ABCXYZ” would sell as many tickets as “Endgame.”

Avengers: Infinity War is now available on home video. Upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies include Captain Marvel on March 8th, Avengers: Endgame on April 26th, and Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5th.
