SyFy All Ready To Reboot Killer Klowns And Critters. Here’s What’s Happening

A whole lot of the 80s classics are all ready to get their reboots from SyFy, and now, Critters and Killer Klowns From Outer Space are will get the reboot treatment. We do not have a lot of details about the reboot as of now.

According to a new report about this, SySy has expressed a desire to make ‘reboots’ a huge part of their business model, and this even includes the licensing rights for Critters and Killer Klowns From Outer Space. The very wording of the new report is pretty specific -SyFy will be licensing these rights, and will not control them.

Kicking off with Critters, it seems like the best thing to do for SyFy. The series had started by 1986 and had also come in the wake of the popular Gremlins. The movie had been about some violent and small aliens who torture the people of a farming town. The movie had a whole lot of sequels like Critters 2: The Main Course and Critters 3.

Killer KlownsFrom Outer Space was released in 1988, and it had also earned a cult status and had been directed by Stephen Chido. The movie has a very simple plot and revolves around aliens who look like clowns and also kill people.

It will surely be tough to make new movies based on these popular properties, and this is not the first cheesy franchise that they are ready to reboot. They also have a Leprechaun Returns which will release by March 2019.
