Lauren made her Broadway theatre debut as Miss Adelaide in the restaging of play Guys and Dolls, which began on enacting the preview performances on 5th February 200,9 and opened on 1st March 2009.

In the year 2012, she partook as a judge in the first episode of Season 10 of Project Runway, an American Reality Television Series. Lately, she has debuted as a writer with her amusing and wonderful novel named Someday, Someday, Maybe, which is about a struggling actress in New York City.

Lauren is in a permanent relationship with her Parenthood co-star Peter Krause since 2010.
