The television series, Picket Fences famous actress who also got fame for appearing as Director Jenny Shephard in television series NCIS and as Mary Swanson in the film, Dumb and Dumber is none other than Lauren Holly.
She was born on 28th October 1963 in Bristol, Pennsylvania. But she grew up in Geneva, New York. Her parents are Michael Ann Holly and Grant Holly. She gained an undergraduate degree in English from Sarah Lawrence College.
Holly began her career in acting at the age of 20 by appearing as Carla Walicki in the television series, Hill Street Blues. Later, she joined the cast of All My Children as Julie Rand Chandler. She played the role of Betty Cooper in the television film, Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again in 1990. She became famous for portraying the role of Deputy Sheriff Maxine Stewart in the series Picket Fences. From 2005-2008, she played the role of Jenny Shephard in the series NCIS.
She also appeared in the music video of Goodbye Earl. Some of her television series are My Two Dads, Fantasy Island, Providence, Bounty Hunters, Motive, Good Witch, and many more. She made her big-screen debut with the film, Seven Minutes in Heaven in 1985. She got fame and won an award for appearing in the film, Dumb and Dumber in 1994. She played the role of Gillian Grady in the film, The Final Storm. Her other film credits are The Pleasure Drivers, In Enemy Hands, Dead Shack, Field of Lost Shoes, No Looking Back, and so on.
From 1996-1997, she was married to Danny Quinn. Later in 2001, she married Francis Greco with whom she has three children. They got divorced in 2014.
She has won the MTV Movie Award, Q Award, Bronze Wrangler Award, Best Ensemble Award at the Canadian Filmmaker’s Festival.
