Leafa, a fictional character appeared in the Sword Art Online series of light novels. She has been voiced in Japanese by Ayana Taketatsu and in English by Cassandra Lee Morris in the anime adaptation. She has been raised with Kazuto as siblings as her parents took Kazuto in after his parents died in an accident.
Kazuto is Leafa’s first cousin and they were taught kendo by their grandfather. Later, when Kazuto realized that he is not Leafa’s real brother, the distance between them became further apart and they were practically strangers before Sword Art Online incident.

She disliked VRMMO games for it hid people’s nature and she took up ALfheim Online to understand Kazuto better when he was trapped in Sword Art Online. She also learned to play ALfheim Online from her classmate and she became very good at ALfheim Online as she practiced kendo for several years.
