The South Korean actress, classical musician, model, and beauty pageant holder who became the Miss Korea and also famous for her role as Jang Nok-su in the television series, The Rebel is none other than Lee Ha-nui.
She came to this world on 2nd March in 1983 and took born in Seoul, South Korea. Her parents are Moon Jae-suk and Lee Sang-eob. She completed her graduation with high honors in traditional Korean music from Seoul National University.
In 2006, she won the Miss Korea pageant and represented South Korea in the Miss Universe 2007 contest and finished as 3rd runner-up. She is a professional Korean music instrument, gayageum player. She has released 4 CDs and played in over 25 countries including at Carnegie Hall. She also participated in the largest mass performance of the gayageum, Uijeongbu International Gayageum Festival. She performed at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics. She made her acting debut in 2008 with the musical, Polaroid. She also appeared in musicals like Legally Blonde as Elle Woods and Chicago as Roxie Hart. She made her on-screen debut in 2009 with the series, The Partner.
In 2013, she was cast as Jang Young-hee in the series, Shark. She played the role of Hwang Bo Yeo-won in the series, Shine or Go Crazy in 2015. She got fame and was praised her role and won several awards for her role as Jang Nok-su in the series, The Rebel in 2017. She was cast to play the role of Park Gyung-sun in the series, The Fiery Priest. She made her big-screen debut in 2011 with the film, Hit. Her other films are Deranged, Tazza: The Hidden Card, Fabricated City, The Bros, Extreme Job, Heart Blackened, Robot Sound, Black Money, and others.
She is in a relationship with actor and singer, Yoon Kye-sang since 2013.
She has won the Mnet 20’s Choice Award, MBC Drama Award, Grand Bell Award, The Seoul Award, KBS Entertainment Award, SBS Drama Award, and many more.
