She also appeared in several films like Joey, Valentino, Curtains, The Other Sister, Straight into Darkness, The Greek Tycoon, and the others. In 1971, she appeared in the hit show, No ex Please at the London West End. She also appeared as Titania in the stage production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Open Air Theatre. In 2008, she also appeared in the musical Gigi. She appeared in on-stage play, August: Osage County in 2013. The following year, she appeared in the play, Other Desert Cities. She produced a play, The Goodbye Bird in 2013.

She had gone through four failed marriages. In 2005, she married her fourth husband, Gavin Mitchell but they got divorced in 2011. She has won the BAFTA Award and has been nominated for the British Soap Award.
