The distinguished American actress and singer Lisa Hartman Black was born on 1st June 1956 in Houston, Texas, United States. After some small television arrival, Lisa featured on the short-lived Bewitched spin-off, Tabitha during 1977-78. She later appeared continually on television in guest characters and occurred in the 1981 CBS TV remake Valley of the Dolls as Neely O’Hara. She was on WLS-TV’s 1979 special You’re Never Too Old recorded at Marriott’s Great America in Gurnee, IL. Lisa’s breakout as an actress arrived in 1982 when she started appearing on the prime time drama Knots Landing, portraying rock singer Ciji Dunne. Lisa was popular with audiences, and when Ciji was killed off-screen in 1983, there was a public outcry. As a solution, she was brought back on the show as Cathy Geary, also a singer. Lisa stayed with the show until 1986, when she was released due to budget cuts and because the show’s writers felt there were no further storylines for her character. During her time on the series, she occurred in the film Where the Boys Are 84. She recorded four solo albums between 1976 and 1987 – one for RCA Records and one for Atlantic Records and two for Kirshner Records. Her most significant song is If Love Must Go, which she accomplished on numerous television shows like The Merv Griffin Show, Solid Gold. Despite other subsidies from successful songwriters and producers including Dobie Gray, Bryan Adams, Will Jennings, Rick Springfield the albums were not commercially successful. Lisa earned her most significant success with a duet with her husband entitled When I Said I Do. It entered Number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts on 18th December 1999 and was selected for a Grammy Award. In the year 2005, the duet was also ranked #11 on CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets in Country, also in the same year, Lisa featured in a made-for-TV film, Back to You and Me, on the Hallmark channel. In the summer of 1994, Lisa co-anchored Universal Studios Summer Blast, a TV special celebrating the 30th anniversary of Universal Studios. In the year 2011, April her albums Lisa Hartman, Hold On and Letterock were disclosed on CD with bonus tracks by Wounded Bird Records under the authorization from Sony. Lisa’s previous album ‘Til My Heart Stopshas already been reissued on CD on Wounded Bird Records. In the following year, she featured in Flicka: Country Pride a movie from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
