The American wrestler, singer, and animal welfare activist who is best known for her ring name Lita and who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is none other than Amy Christine Dumas.
She was born on 14th April in 1975 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is the daughter of Michael and Christine Dumas. She played bass guitar in several bands and also worked as a roadie for a band.
Dumas gained an interest in wrestling after watching World Championship Wrestling and moved to Mexico to learn how to wrestle. In 1999, she joined Extreme Championship Wrestling and debuted as Miss Congeniality. Then, she signed with the World Wrestling Federation and debut in 2000 as Lita.
She mainly paired with Essa Rios but she achieved her greatest win along with Matt and Jeff Hardy as they were together as Team Xtreme. She was a heel wrestler and also served as a manager in 2005-2006. She won the WWE Women’s Championship and she also became an overall four-time champion in WWE. In 2006, she took retirement from WWE. In 2007, she made her debut with United Wrestling Federation. She also made some guest appearances on WWE later. Lita formed the band The Luchagors in mid-2006 and 2007, the band released their debut CD, The Luchagors.
In 1999, she dated Matt Hardy. From 2006-2008, she was in a relationship with Shane Morton. She also dated CM Punk from 2009-2010 and again in 2012-2013.
