She portrayed the role of Countess Isolde in the film, Belle du Seigneur in 2012. She appeared as Hanna in the film, Becoming Astrid in 2018. Her other films are A Second Chance, Day and Night, I Am David, Dragonfly, Insomnia, Three Suns, Harry & Charles, Phoenix, and many more.

From 1998-2003, she was in a relationship with Mikawel Persbrandt. Currently, she is dating the talk-show host and producer from Norway, Fredrik, Skavlan with whom she has a child.

She has achieved the Amanda Award, EFP Shooting Star Award, Silver Hugo Award, Kanonprisen Award, Best Actress at the Montreal World Film Festival Award, and others.
