Recently, Marie Osmond posted a painting of a horse named Mikhael to give tribute to her late son, Michael who died in 2010 at the age of 18 on her Instagram profile. She stated that one of her friends owns racehorses and allowed her to name the newest horse of his. Osmond gave the name of the horse after the Hebrew spelling of her son’s name, Michael. An English artist gifted her the painting and the name Mikhael signed above the art. Her fans showered comments after she posted the painting.
Marie Osmond, the singer, actress, and the author has married twice. In 1982, she married Stephen Lyle Craig with whom she has a son. But they got divorced in 1985. Later in 1986, she married Brian Blosil with whom she has two children and they adopted five children. The couple divorced in 2007. In 2011, she remarried her first husband, Stephen Lyle Craig.
She was born on 13th October in 1959 in Ogden, Utah, the U.S. Her parents are George Virl Osmond and Olive May. Being the part of singing family, she debuted as a part of her brothers’ act in The Andy Williams at the age of 4.
She began her musical career after signing with her family’s label MGM/Kolob Records and in 1973, she released her debut single, Paper Rose that became a no. 1 country hit. The following year, she released her debut album, In My Little4 Corner of the World that also was a huge hit. In 1977, her fourth album, This Is the Way That I Feel was released. After many years later in 1985, she released her album, There’s No Stopping Your Heart.
In the following years, she released many songs and albums as well. Recently, she has announced that she will release her next album in 2020. She became very famous for hosting the show Donny & Marie with her brother, Donny Osmond that aired in 1976. In 1980, she also had her show, Marie. In 1995, she appeared in the sitcom, Maybe This Time. She appeared in several films and television films like Goin’ Coconuts, The Gift of Love, I Married Wyatt Earp, etc. In 2019, Osmond started hosting the show The Talk. She has written three books, Behind the Smile: My Journey Out, Might As Well Laugh It Now, and The Key Is Love.
She has won the Country Music Association Awards and was nominated for Grammy Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards.
