Veteran British-American actress Marina Sirtis was born on 29th March 1955 in Hackney, London, England to Despina and John Sirtis. She grew up in Harringay, North London London.
In the year 1976, at the age of 21, she graduated from Guildhall and began her career by joining the Connaught Theatre.
Marina began her career as a component of the repertory company at the Connaught Theatre, Worthing. She seemed in Joe Orton’s What the Butler Saw and as Ophelia in Hamlet.
Her other early works include various guest-starring roles on British television series. Marina arose in Minder, Raffles, Hazell, The Return of Sherlock Holmes, Up the Elephant and Round the Castle. She also portrayed the flight attendant in a 1979 television commercial.
In the year 1986, she migrates to the United States. She appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Gene Roddenberry was inspired to ask the exotic-looking Marina to audition for a role after seeing the film Aliens with Bob Justman, which starred the distinguished Latina character Vasquez, played by Jenette Goldstein. Before her role in Star Trek, she was starred in supporting roles in several films named The Wicked Lady, Death Wish 3, Blind Date. She also appeared in many films and TV shows comprising Terminal Error, Crash, A Dark Reflection, The Deep Below, Game of Life, The Thief of Baghdad, Hunter, Duckman, The Outer Limits, Gargoyles, and many others.
