Masane Amaha is a character from the show Witchblade. She was actually born under the name Yasuka Ōhara. Her story began when a Great Quake sank a part of Tokyo. Due to being on the fringes of society, she and Rihiko Amane, her adoptive daughter are kicked out of a shelter.
Their problems did not end though, they were then chased by NswF’s Child Welfare agency. Not finding any other means they had to forcefully flee to recovering Tokyo, where after arriving they are taken for a tough and intense questioning. Here she is made to question her own parenting skills, which makes her relinquish Rihiko’s custody. She then understands her mistake and rectifies it by retaking custody.
Masake is determined and puts in a lot of hard work, but has the negative attribute of carelessness, she has a laid back attitude which leads to a lot of problems. Her real name came into light when it was revealed before the apocalyptic event she lived in a shelter amp where she was known as Yasuka. This revelation puts a shroud of mystery on Masana’s personality.
After the Great Quake happens, Masane finds herself at the epicentre of the Earthquake wearing a Witchblade, having no memory of her previous life at all. When she gets arrested and sent to South Asagaia Detention Center, she meets her first Ex- Con who threatens her life. It is then that her Witchblade activates, and encases her body with a black armour. As the Witchblade activates her fighting abilities gain a certain polish and perfection.She loses all control of her body and a certain fighting spirit enters her soul. She is filled with a desire to destroy everything.
