If one thinks that the MCU is pretty expansive, well, it is nothing compared to the Marvel comic book world. Infinity War might have given all of us much more superheroes than the fans thought possible in one movie, but still, the options for more new and fresh characters we may see on the silver screen now seem almost endless. Bringing all these comic book characters to life is not an easy feat, and the MCU has also created a whole new art form.
While translating a comic book character into the screen, all the directors and the writers have to make a few big decisions. Should this character look and identical to its comic source, or should they give their own twist? With the many Marvel comics that have been adapted, both the scenarios will happen.
At times, the character changes happen to make the movies more realistic and watchable and at other times a few things are changed because the comics do not age very well. A few classic heroes have needed no changes and the MCU has portrayed them pretty well.
It can be very difficult to find the perfect match for a character, and this is why Marvel at times looks through hundreds of actors before they find the best.
